RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into those trusting eyes, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart. Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...

Leo
We lost Leo on February 11, 2010, to cancer. Leo was such a gentle soul and so laid back that you couldn't help but love him. Over the years he was in foster care, several young male foster cats he lived with absolutely adored him! As for Leo, he chose Chevy, another long-term foster cat, as his buddy. Wherever Chevy decided to nap, Leo was close by. He'll be sadly missed.

SAPPHIRE
SAPPHIRE was one of our lovely longhaired black foster cats who was adopted by a lovely family. Sapphire died of FIP in early January 2010. Sapphire was loved by her foster caregivers and her foster family, hris and Herve Mann -thank you for caring for our Sapphire. we will miss you

Lucy
I don't know what happened. One day I no longer had my home and ended up at the Lancaster Humane Society. I was there a couple of days when a family with four kids decided to give me a home. It was raining and thundering so bad that day and I was scared. I don't have much hair but I lost most of it coming home from shaking. My family took me in and calmed me down to the point I no longer was scared of noise. I was treated with kindness and respect for the rest of my life. I was told I was the best dog ever. Everyone who came over to our home always wanted to adopt me. I would lean on people so I could touch them and make them feel good. My Dad went to heaven before me and I missed him so much. When I left this world I knew he would be waiting for me at the rainbow bridge. I am not in pain anymore and I know you miss me but I too will be waiting to greet you one day. Lucy

JASPER
JASPER was our first and best cat. Jasper was my inspiration to help other cats. Jasper was smart and a special part of my family. Jasper died suddenly on Nov 13, 2007 of heart failure. Our home is not the same without him. We miss him every day. The Kamp Family
