I'm looking for a very special person to love someone special like me. My name is Kia and I'm a 2 year old female Beagle mix that was taken to a shelter in West Virginia on 1/3/13 by my owner who could not afford to take care of me anymore. I'm a very sweet little girl that needs special love because I'm partially visually impaired and need a little more help than the average doggie. Loud noises can scare me because I can't really see what is going on but once I get in a home with my new family I will be put at ease and be comforted. I'm also good with kids of all ages and other dogs. I'm told that I could use a little training to understand leash commands like heel (whatever that means). Will you please show me all the TLC and care I deserve? I am truly a great dog and I won't disappoint you!

Hello! I am kia and it is my first day with my foster family. I have some trouble with steps but I am working on that, and even with my sight problem I will master it and be a pro in no time! I just went out in the snow this morning and I love to run in it! I can do my busness outside, as long as someone takes me out and stays with me because I don't like to be alone just yet. I love to cuddle and and give kisses, and I just love to have my belly rubbed, and be petted. I am VERY calm but shy at first. It may take me a bit of time to get to know new people, but if you're anything like my foster mom it won't take me long at all to love you! I have so much love to give! Won't you give me a forever home so I have a faimily of my own???

i made big progress today, i went up and down the steps all by myself for the first time. my foster mommy is so proud of me she tells me i am so smart.
