Bobbie is a very recent rescue from a life of breeding. He lived in a cage, had no socialization and had never been shown love, attention or affection. His story is most touching: his plight was obvious to a local shelter volunteer who could not stand to see this sweet boy spend one more day in a wire cage. She took it upon herself to take him into her own home and try to help him find a better life. She contacted Castaway Critters and asked if we could take him into foster and help him find a forever loving home. Well, just LOOK at that face! Of course we said YES and he is now a Castaway dog. But hopefully not for long! Won't you please be a part of Bobbie's success story? Please apply to adopt him and show him that there is more to life than a wire cage, a cold metal tray on which to sleep, a water bowl and food twice a day. Could you show him love and kindness? Could you change this sweet boy's life? Somehow I would bet he could change your's too!! :) ** Please note: Bobbie is a special needs dog.... his needs include needing reassurance and a kind and loving touch. He is scared by sudden movements and needs encouraging to come over for a cuddle. Because of this, Bobbie would not do well in a home with children... their movements are just too quick for him. Update - February 2013: WOW! Bobbie has come so far! He is now playing with toys and is really loving life! A far cry from the sad eyed little boy he once was! He loves playing with his foster siblings and loves when I talk to him with a British accent... I think it's because his favorite show is Downton Abbey on PBS! I think Bobbie would do best in a home with another dog... that way he will continue to learn what it is like to be a happy dog....and not a scared one. $260.00 adoption donation includes microchipping!
