Hi. My name is Carrie Roe and I was Cindy’s foster mom for about a month after she came to our shelter in Parkersburg WV. I don’t even know how she came to be in our shelter but I will tell you that she didn’t look at all like she looks today. First, she was a good bit smaller. She was skinny and had lots of hair loss due to mange and was about half as tall. But she LOVED everyone despite her condition!
Cindy lived with me and my 6 dogs plus a few other fosters for about a month. And let me assure you Cindy has NEVER met a stranger. She loves EVERYONE she meets….two legged and four legged alike. Even my grumpy anti-puppy dog Lily, who will snap at any youngsters for invading her personal space, could not upset Cindy, who repeatedly tried to befriend Lily. Cindy loved the 6 week old puppy that I was also fostering and tried to play with him, too. She became fast friends with our cats as well. In the house she was great with them and outside, she pretty much ignored them. No aggression in this girl at all!
Truly, Cindy is such a sweet heart and so full of joy that it’s hard not to wish to be more like her. She acts like a 4 month old puppy. She loves toys! After learning how to use a doggie door, house training was a snap for Cindy! She learned to sit pretty quickly and I used treats to teach her about not jumping up.
Cindy is VERY car friendly. Actually, she’s everything friendly!!!
She is excellent with people of all ages and loves children especially. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body and I think she’d be excellent with a family with children.
She rides so well in the car … no car sickness and was well behaved in the car as the perfect passenger. She’d prefer to ride up front with you, but if you tell her to get in the back, she'll just hang out there! While she looks sort of Beagle-like in coloring, she doesn’t seem to have any Beagle tendencies. She’s not barky and doesn’t put her nose to the ground like they do. Not sure what she is mixed with, but she’s not Beagle by nature…other than the friendly and outgoing part!
I think Cindy will make someone a wonderful family member. She has such a wonderful nature, is so loving and sweet, that she will be a special girl for someone very lucky!
Cindy is UTD on all her vaccines, spayed and ready to find her forever home! Could that be YOU? Please consider giving this wonderful gal a family to call her own!!! Be a part of her success story! :)
