2/27 - Jiggy is a senior citizen (18 years old!!!!) who has spent his life living in his own filth. He was rescued by a shelter volunteer who had heard of his living conditions and physically WENT to his owner to plead for his release so that she could see about possibly getting this little guy a home in which he could experience some comfort and love during his retirement years. Thankfully the owner relinquished Jiggy but no one would step up to the plate to take Jiggy in and because of his terrible condition it was imperative that he go to a rescue group. Castaway Critters was happy to send for this poor soul and try to find him a family in which he could live for the rest of his life. He will arrive in Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 3rd and will be SOOO ready and willing to meet the very special family who would commit to giving him a home and take care of him! It is unthinkable that this sweet little dog was SO neglected his entire life and Castaways is committed to seeing that he live in comfort for the rest of his days. In his pictures you can see how he lost almost ALL of his fur due to neglectful and abysmal living conditions, BUT his fur is actually growing back in and he will soon be a handome man!!! Will YOU be that special person/family who wants to give this special dog some love and comfort and show him how wonderful life can be? Please consider filling out an application for Jiggy and being his forever family!!! He will bring you A LOT of joy!
3-1: Just got an updated picture of Jiggy which I have added to his site. His fur is in fact coming in nicely! We are eager to get him on Saturday!
3-3: Well, Jiggy is here and is such a good boy! He travels well in the care (NO whining!!!), loves all other animals (dogs, cats, bunnies), is absolutly NO trouble and just desperately needs someone kind enough to take him in to give him his very own home. His skin is in very bad shape but his fur is in fact starting to grow in on his face. He goes to the vet's on Monday 3/5 to have him look at his skin. For as old as Jiggy is, he sure is curious and friendly! His tail is ALWAYS wagging!
