Great Cat-Loves everyone!!
Sassy has been with our family for almost a year now. She has grown into a truly lovely cat. She has always been very gentle, I trust this cat with my children implicitly. She still has never used her claws, even when frightened. She was extremely thin when we first got her but she has put on a few pounds and is a healthy weight. She is still extremely affectionate with our dogs and tomcat. She is no longer so scared and is affectionate with us as well. Sassy loves to play! She loves to play with toys and strings and will make a game of anything. She likes to grab whatever toy she is playing with and carry it around from room to room. She has even gotten my overweight cat, who never likes to play to play with her. Now they run from room to room playing together. She is truly a joy to have in our home.
Sassy was found and taken in just a day before she gave birth to a litter of 5 kittens. She was found with her sister Cricket.
Watching Sassy mother her babies has been a beautiful thing. She is a wonderful, selfless mommy, still very young herself (probably under 2 years) and now that she has been spayed, she is ready to find a home of her own where she can relax and be a loving companion. She is a quiet cat with a very soft purr that is always going when you pick her up and a very quiet meow. Sometimes it's so quiet that you can't even hear it, she just looks at you and opens her mouth - so cute! Regardless of the situation, Sassy has NEVER used her claws on me or my young children. She is gentle and sweet and I get the feeling that she's so happy to be inside out of the cold and being taken care of.
She gets along well with everyone and goes out of her way to be friendly - even to my huge labrador and my tom cat, who likes her - even though he doesn't usually take to new cats. She's never shown any aggression toward him either.
Sassy is fully litter box trained with no accidents, up to date on shots and spayed.
